Chapter One of Crusade 09 - 

The party of saviors, Crisco, Ettiene, Garrick, Morrigan, and Persival have accepted the charge to discover the cause of the vein plague.  They set out onto the sea during the calm times, and prayers are with them.  Upon the rough open seas they passed through a shimmering veil and calmness set upon the sea.  A ship, larger than their own was seen in the distance with an island.  They boarded the ship, and were set upon by the ship itself, as if alive, it began to consume their own ship and their equipment.  They survived through ingenuity and strength taking the dingy to shore.... there on shore they took a moments breath.....
